Sky is the UK\'s largest digital pay television platform. With the opening of Sky Poker, they now welcome players worldwide into their unique poker room. One of the most interesting facts about SkyPoker is that at any given time your table may be shown on Sky TV, making you an instant TV Star. There\'s also a Hot-O-Meter, giving you advice on how to play your hand. The software is Java based, so no download is needed. You\'ll enter the poker room directly from their website.

Fish
Sky Poker attracts the some very poor players, due to their well known brand, the highly popular SkyBet bookmakers and especially the televised tables. There´s not a whole lot of traffic, but 95% of all tables are extremely lucrative! It seems there are many people using Sky Poker at work on their lunchbreaks, which means plenty of bluffing and loose play during lunchtime GMT!
Traffic
Players during peak hours:
Cash-games: up to 600
Tournaments: up to 2.000
Traffic is definately the main issue with SkyPoker. As a small- and medium-stakes players, you can always find a interesting Holdem game though. Tournament traffic is quite disappointing, but there are some very exciting events every now and then.
Software
SkyPoker is Java based, allowing you to play directly in your browser. The software runs very well, with all the standard features. Navigation is simple but the lobby lacks a bit of information - avr. pot size and players/flop % is missing. While playing, you have swift access to a nice hand history. A unique feature is their Hot-O-Meter, providing players with a (graphical) opinion of your hand. Rubbish, Fold´em, On fire.. small notes that can be taken into consideration if you´re unsure about the strenght of your hand. Another great feature is SkyPoker´s video tutorials, and 3D avatars at the table. These are nicely designed, with amusing behaviour.
Tournaments
SkyPoker also televise their poker tournaments. The Open is 3 different tourneys, which are played on a daily basis. Every night at 9pm, and televised live at Sky channel 865. You can join these tournaments directly from £10, with satelites starting for as little as £2.20. That´s not much a a great experience that could put you on TV - and earn you a significant amount ;) Despite having limited tournament traffic, they offer their players a number of interesting tournaments, including a number of guaranteed tournament. Often with value!
Support
Sky is an extremely professional company, and support is therefore a high priority at SkyPoker - the have a serious image to think of. Contact their Live Chat, email or telephone support with any enquiry you might have, and you will receive one of the best treatments in the business.
