Telesina is a game of 2-6 players, and a french deck, 32 cards (A - 7). The small number of cards in the deck, increases the chance of a full, while decreasing the chance of a flush. Therefore a flush beats a full house in Telesina. It's a lot like 5 card stud, but after 5 cards have been dealt to each player, a final community card is dealt which all players can use to improve their hands.
The Game
- Each player receives two cards, one dealt face down and one face up. The card dealt first is closed and cannot be seen by other players than yourself.
- The 1 st betting round is commenced, with players acting clockwise.
- Each player recieves another card face up, and the second bettinground is commenced. This is repeated two times more so each player has four open cards(and one closed).
- After the fifth card has been dealt to remaining players and the betting round is over, one card is placed in the middle of the table. This is called the Vela community card and it can be used by all players to improve their hand. The last round of betting is commenced, and when the last bet has been called, the one who put out the last bet shows his hand. If the caller cannot beat the hand, he can choose to muck or show, but if he has the best of it the hand will automatically be shown, and he will take down the pot.
